Rowan: What does sound look like?
Me: It doesn't look like anything. You hear it, you don't see it.
R: But where are its bones?
M: It doesn't have any bones. It's sound.
R: It doesn't have any bones? Hmmm... I guess it's probably squishy. Like Jello.

We made cookies. That was fun. Pictures to come, probably in the snapfish album since there are so many of them.
I totally stole the idea for these portraits from one that my friend Heidi had done of her boys.

Niall moves up

Niall has finally learned how to climb out of his crib.
That's right. The kid who climbs everything in the house never tried to get out of his bed on his own until a few days ago.
So a change was in order.
I drug the changing table out to the dining room. Those creams and powders were too much of a draw. They had to be removed.
We were going to get a new gate, but then John took the doorknob apart and fixed it. Score!
So then we took off the front of the crib and changed it to the toddler bed configuration.
It was well received.





This is where the changing table used to be. It's now a little book nook. It needs a little more work, but I really like it.

Rowan says

We've been dealing with a respiratory virus this week. Rowan's been needing breathing treatments.
Now when he's feeling tight, he comes to me and says, "Mom, I'm feeling kinda weasel-ly."
